OCTOBER THROUGH MARCH
We offer as a
complete package traditional field hunts of upland game bird species
native to North Central Kansas. Our specialty is hunting the Ringneck
Pheasant with a six bird per day limit. Extended pheasant limits can also
be arranged. Bobwhite Quail and Greater Prairie Chicken can also be
hunted.
HUNTING AREAS
The ranch is located on one of our three state licensed controlled
shooting areas. We offer over 3600 acres that is licensed by Kansas
Wildlife and Parks and located on native upland game bird habitat. The
hunting area consists of sorghum fields, CRP grass, railroad
right-of-ways, creeks, weedy draws and tree breaks on the edge of native
pasture country. We also have access to another 10,000 plus acres.

RATES AND
RESERVATIONS
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit with reservations. However,
with 60 days notice of postponement, a hunt may be rescheduled subject to
availability.

FACILITIES
A fifteen room modern Kansas ranch house with five bathrooms is our
hunting headquarters and is where all meals are served. The ranch house
can accommodate up to 18 guests. In addition, we have added a full
basement with solarium and private entrance to our residence which will
accommodate 8. A few years ago we added our
multi-purpose facility which includes our new office, laundry room, game
processing area, and four private suites with phone and private bathroom.
Each suite will accommodate 3 guests. Additionally we
have state of the art clean and climate controlled dog kennels
which are designed for 16 dogs to stay in secure comfort.
GROUP
SIZE AND SAFETY
We can accommodate forty guests at the Ranch. For safety, large pheasant
hunting parties on the ranch are normally divided into smaller groups of
from 4 to no more than six. Quail hunting is normally done with no more
than two in a party. Each group is accompanied by a local dog
handler/guide, who can also offer recommendations to keep your group safe.
Guests are welcome to bring their own dog.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Plan to arrive the afternoon or early evening of the day before your
scheduled hunt in time to hone your shooting skills with our Crazy Quail
Clay Target throwers and enjoy our family-style evening meal. Departure
for most hunting parties is late afternoon of their final day's hunt. We
can adjust our schedule to work with your travel plans.
YOU
PROVIDE
A shotgun, ammunition, eye protection, orange hunting vest, outdoor
clothing, ice chest for processed birds and a fun group. Ammunition can be
purchased at the Ranch.
WE
PROVIDE
As a package clean comfortable accommodations, three great family-style
meals each day, a large scenic valley that is maintained as upland game
bird habitat, a six pheasant per day limit, field vehicles, dogs and
handlers to assure personal service and hospitality.
HUNTING
LICENSE
Call for current pricing
A license to hunt on Ringneck Ranch is required. Kansas
Resident or Non-resident license are also acceptable. All licenses can be
obtained here, hunters born after July 1, 1957, must be
able to provide their certificate number from any state-approved hunter
safety course.
