Mexico Dove and Quail Hunting

The Hunting


The Dove and Quail– are plentiful, and great shoots are the standard.


The birds are wild, not pen raised, and the expansive brush and grain fields can support amazing populations of quail.  It is not unusual to count 15 - 40 coveys in a day, of course, as with any hunt, there are no guarantees. However because of the quantity and quality of birds and opportunities, we have hunters return every year.  Therefore early reservations are important.

Accommodations

Without excellent hunting, Rancho Caracol would just be a rustic, 5 star resort in a beautiful setting, about 3 hours from Harlingen, TX.  In addition to hunting, there is: hiking, photography, birding, swimming or video games, billiards, etc in the rooftop game room/bar boasting a 360 degree scenic vista.

 

Arrangements can be made for private/ double occupancy lodge rooms or depending on availability, Casitas can be arranged (at an additional cost). All accommodations have heat and air-conditioning and modern bathrooms. Electric service is the same as in the U.S.
 

Casitas are 1 or 2 bedroom cabanas with  living and dining rooms and kitchenettes.
